Community Outreach Programs


 

Did you know...


Since 2009, C'mon has served over 10,000 people in our outreach programs!


- 79% of children increased their literacy skills
- 72% of children used a solar panel for the first time, and
- 42% of children used a microscope for the first time
     

 

 

 


Library Partnership


Through our ongoing partnership with the Collier County Public Libraries, C'mon provides:

 

Summer "Curious Kids" programs in partnership with WGCU Public Media for children going into the 1st through 4th grades, which combine science experiments, cultural games and stories, and literacy activities.  These programs are also available at select Lee County Libraries.

 

 

Explorer Packs, which included books, experiments, and real artifacts to study at home, and are available for checkout from the Headquarters Library on Orange Blossom Rd. Themes include:

 

 

 

 


 

5-8 year olds

 
- Mother Nature’s House- seasons and weather
- At the Beach- shells and beach animals
- The Banyan Tree- all about trees and their parts
     
 
 
 


8-12 year olds

 
- Journey through the Everglades- animals and conservation
- Green Construction- materials and tools
- Space Kidettes- living in space and a space survival pack
     
 
 

 



 

Free Family Programs


C'mon is out and about in the community exploring the world and previewing our exhibits with families at Mercato and Waterside Shops in Naples and Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers.  Programs are FREE and open to the public. Come anytime between 11 am and 3 pm.  Projects are designed for children ages 4 to 10 and their families.

The first Saturday of every month at Mercato Shops in Naples

The second Saturday of every month at Waterside Shops in Naples

The third Saturday of every month at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers

Community Partnerships

 

C'mon has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County, The Shelter for Abused Women and Children, the Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) Charter School- Immokalee, and Youth Haven to serve the needs of ALL children and families in Southwest Florida.

 

 

Boys and Girls Club-

Programs serve approximately 100 third graders every month during the school year

 

Shelter for Abused Women and Children-

Programs serve approximately fifteen children ages 5-12 during mother's group therapy sessions every month

 

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) Charter School: Immokalee-

Programs serve approximately 35 third graders in their afterschool programs and 20 PreK 4-5 year olds with the Start with the Arts program every month during the school year, in addition to working with their summer camps

 

Youth Haven-

Programs serve all children between the ages of 5-15 currently housed in the emergency shelter on school's out days and on an as-needed basis




Born Learning   


C’mon has partnered with Born Learning to help parents, caregivers and communities create early learning opportunities for young children.  The following resources are available for download:
